Simpe Tips For Improving Your Landscape

By Allyn Paul, filed under Landscape Tips.

Fall is a great time to make subtle improvements to your landscape. Mainly because stuff is on sale! But there are a few things to consider before you go setting up a 6 foot Buddha statue in your front yard.

It is not just about plants, flowers and trees. A lot of landscaping includes features like fountains, sculptures, patios, gazebos, arches and arbors. But what really is the best of these options? This all depends on your personal tastes, budget and the appearance of your home and lawn already. You want to choose an option that complements the look of your home and enhances the overall appearance of your property.

This can be done with several options or one if you choose. A minimalist approach could be just as successful as or even more so than other options. Overdoing the design can be a bigger detriment to your property than leaving it as it is.

When you are intending to make an aesthetic improvement to your property really consider the look of your home and choose an element of your homes appearance that you want to expand on. You can also create the appearance of an arch or arbor with vines and wire.

By growing and wrapping the vines properly around the wire or buying enough mature vines to wrap around the wire you can create an arch that gives the appearance of being made of just vines. This is a popular and attractive option because there are so many different types of vines, some that bloom a variety of colors and others that not only bloom fragrantly and vibrantly but at a certain time of the day only.

Other advantages are stone walkways or features to break up the monotony of a plain lawn. This can be done with small stones that can be used to form larger more intricate patterns. The limitation in design is just your imagination. Larger stones can be used as well to make a pattern or walkway and serves the same purpose of creating a more eye appealing sight in your outdoor space.

The idea here guys, is to put up elements that blend well, and don’t stand out like sore thumbs!
