By Allyn Paul, filed under Lawn Tips.

Today I am starting a series of posts on basic lawn tools that I think each of you should invest in, or at least consider investing in. Some of these will be pretty obvious requirements, while others are just neat but not “must-haves” per say.

So before I start rambling on and talking about super cool tools, let me break them down into some simple categories.

Lawn Power Tools

Ok, so you know you need a lawn mower, a string trimmer or weed whacker, a blower and an edger right? But there if you buy the wrong ones, you could be in for more of a headache than anything.

Lawn Treatment Tools

These are your fertilizer and seed spreaders, sprayers and other tools that help you deliver granular and liquid lawn applications easily and efficiently. We will be talking a lot about these types of lawn tools.

Lawn Maintenance Tools

Not only do you have to cut it and fertilize it, but you have to keep it well irrigated too. These tools will fall into the lines of hoses, sprinklers and other items that help you keep your lawn maintained properly.

Cool Lawn Tools

These are the ones that you really don’t need, but if you knew about them, you’d wish you had a few. There are some great inventions out there that help you keep your lawn looking thick and lush like a carpet and I will be introducing you to some of the best ones I have found.
