Looking for a snow removal service? Well, here is everything you need to know before you sign a contract. First off, you need to realize that it is important to sign up with a landscape company that does snow removal BEFORE the next big snow storm strikes. It is pretty obvious that these guys get very busy and book up fast. The good news is that you can find out just which snow removal companies in your area still have openings for new customers by utilizing the quote engine provided by Service Magic. Use their quote tool to get bids from contractors who still have the ability to take care of the snow at your property.

This is also how you get the best price, because surprisingly, they will all come in very differently at this point in the year depending on how much money they want to earn. The guy who has had a good year will bid you high, but the guy who needs to work to bring in his year will bid you lower for snow plowing services. Funny how that works isn’t it?? Welcome to the landscape industry! LOL  :)

Most snow removal services charge by the inch. That means that there is a set price for a driveway, but every so many inches of snow over that base amount will increase the price by “x” amount. Here’s another tip for you: if your driveway is clean now, and you know that a snow storm is gonna hit, spread a thin layer of ice melting product down prior to the storm. This will greatly reduce the amount of ice and snow buildup on your driveways and sidewalks and allow you to maybe get our and shovel yourself. Use calcium chloride to protect your grass and plants!
