Old news, but worth a look for my readers.

From Fox News:

December 5, 2007: Mitt Romney has a “sanctuary mansion” no more.

The former Massachusetts governor and GOP presidential candidate has formally cut ties with the landscaping company that manicures his lawn, after it was reported that the company continued to employ illegal immigrants a year after the hiring practices were first revealed.

Romney wrote a letter Tuesday to Ricardo Saenz, of Community Lawn Service in Chelsea, Mass., terminating his contract with the company.

They were instructed to make sure people working for the company were of legal status. We personally met with the company in order to inform them about the importance of this matter. I have a funny feeling that Romney’s lawn is about to resemble the Nevada desert. The guy’s probably gonna fertilize his lawn with rock salt some time around midnight.

You never know. Personally, I’d be more concerned that workers on my property are not convicted felons, or something along those lines. As far as them being legal or not…I’m paying to have my lawn cut, that’s it.

My wife and I are not big Romney fans. We feel he is a flip flopper like Kerry. He only fired the company because he was caught not b/c it was the right thing to do.
